We were made to be loved by God, and to love him. When God’s not in the picture, we fill that hole in our hearts with all sorts of things. Some hurt us. Some mean we end up hurting others. Others just make us hungry for more, and never satisfied, because the hole is God shaped and God sized...
Drinks. Donuts. Discussion.
Donut Church?
Sometimes life feels like the middle of the donut — a bit empty. Or, with a jam donut, a bit red and messy when you’re feeling the squeeze.
Jesus says he came so you could “have life” and “have it to the full” — and one of the best pictures he gave us of that “full life” was bread.
He fed thousands of people bread. He called himself the bread of life. He broke bread with his friends and said, “this is my body” — a picture of his body that would be made holey on the cross so that we could be made whole and holy.
Donuts are one of the best kinds of bread.
Donut Church is church, with donuts.
Church can feel complicated and scary — like you have to dress up, shut up and sit in rows. Here, we come as we are. Bring your questions and conversation. Hear from the Bible. Sit in a circle. Eat donuts. Drink something whipped up by our in-house barista.
It’s church for you if you haven’t been for a while — or ever — but feel like you might need to. Especially if you’ve got questions.
Sometimes our attempts to feel full get us into a jam — or leave us in a hole. You don’t have to have it all together to join us. Come on the journey to be filled and made whole, one donut at a time. Jesus loves meeting us in our mess, around a table. Come as you are.
Jesus called himself the “bread of life” and the “bread of heaven”. He offers to fill us with God’s Spirit — the life-giving breath of God we meet at the beginning of the Bible. Donuts can fill our stomachs. Jesus offers to fill the hole, make us whole, and make us holy. Arrive hungry. Leave full.

What happens?
Grab a bite. Hear from the Bible. Ask anything.
We sit in a circle because donuts are circles... and because this isn’t a show. When you’re here, you’re part of the action. You’re the jam in our donut, or something. Someone’ll open part of the Bible. We talk about it. It’s a conversation, not a lecture. We ask where Jesus fits. You can jump in, disagree, listen, laugh, or say, “I have no idea what that means.” There’s room in this circle for you.
- 1Fill a cup
Drinks prepared by our in-house barista. - 2Grab a donut
Carbs. Sugar. Iced, glazed, fancy or hot cini. They’re just bread to be enjoyed, even if the bread, the circle, and the hole point to something bigger. - 3Hear from the Bible
No prior knowledge assumed. We’ll make sure everyone can follow along, and our eyes don’t glaze over, as we see how this ancient book can take us from “in the hole” to “holy”; from “empty” to filled with life as we see it point to Jesus, the “bread of life”, and the well-rounded fullness he offers. And we’ll try to get real about the holes we find ourselves in and the difference the wholeness Jesus offers makes in real life. - 4Bring a whole lot of questions
Questions are the point. You don’t get put on the spot; but you can put us on the spot and pick holes in what we say. If we get in a jam, we’ll tell you we don’t know, then follow up and bring more answers next time. We’re taking an adventure in curiosity together. - 5Break bread and share a cup with us
Jesus broke bread in the wilderness. He broke bread with his friends. And since then communities have been breaking bread together and sharing a drink to remember him. We’ll invite you to join millions of people who’ve found life “at the table” with Jesus.

Holey.
We think the ache in us is real. We were made by God and for God, and the stuff we use to numb, distract or rescue ourselves can’t carry that weight forever.
Wholly.
Jesus doesn’t just patch the hole. He brings us back to the God who made us. He calls himself the bread of life and offers the kind of life we keep trying to find elsewhere.
Holy.
God’s Spirit starts filling and reshaping people for a full life with God and one another. Not polished. Not holier-than-thou. Just learning to live more like Jesus.
Got a question?
Dunk away.
Ask about Donut Church, what happens, what we believe, or whether it’s the sort of room you could walk into.
